I Took Some Hard Punches To The Head - Feeling Shitty For Days Now!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I didn't lose the fight though (even though I was fighting 3 motherfuckers at the same time). But I'm feeling shitty for 3 days already. Surely, I got a concussion cause I felt like throwing up the next day. Apparently, it wasn't so bad cause a) I didn't get knocked out b) I didn't actually throw up c) I saw a doctor and he said there's no problem inside the head and what I'm experiecing is simply my body's reaction to the concussion and I should just give it time.
But it's been 3 days.. all I do is lie in bed, listen to radio and watch TV cause I feel too tired and if I goto da computer I get tired after 1/2 hour and go back to bed. And my right eye feels different than my left eye now. So I need some quality GFY advice (yea I realize it's a fucking oxymoron!:) Vote in my poll and tell me what to do! |

 yer fucked.

 Go to the doctor dude.

my friend had the same thing, real bad headaches, tired etc, went to doctor and they said just relax and sleep, 3 days go by and he's real bad. goes to hospital and he has a fractured skull and is rushed into intensive care. spends next week recovering in hospital.
i'd get it checked out. |

I don't think you have long to live.

I just did this a week ago! I got knocked stupid by the boom during a sailing race. nausea , dizziness and crazy headaches. felt dumb/slow for 2-3 days.
you can have a concussion even if you didn't go completely blacked out. however if you made it through the first 24 hours without vomiting, blackouts, or other involuntary weirdness then it is likely a mild one. that can still mean several day to a week or more or residual effects. diagnosis from my Dr. brother -in-law : take ibuprofen, rest and "don't make any life altering decisions for a week" disclaimer: I am not a doctor!! I sale old ladies! |

By 'saw a doctor' do you mean you discussed it with a doctor you know or that you had xrays done, etc? If you had your skull/brain examined then I'd give it a few days, if no reduction in pain occurs/symptoms get worse, get a second opinion. If you didn't have it scanned, I'd recommend it...
Hope you feel better soon, c-lo |

deman a ct-scan.. i'm sure you just experiencing the after effects of bruising to the brain BUT if its concerning you that much , your body knows more than your doctor.. unless he took a ct scan he doesnt know whats going on in there.
You only live once, would be a shame to throw it away on a doctors "whoops" |

Thanks to those who responded in "good faith". Appreciate it. Yea the doctor was an emergency room doctor. He said the 24hr thing... he said if nothing serious happened in the first 24 hours (and it has been 24 hours already) then I'm OK. I'm not really feeling pain... just tired all day, eyes tired, and in the evening feel some tension in the right side of the head (where I was hit). No real pain.

If a doctor said you're fine, then you're fine.
Stop being such a pussy. |
