Quick Comus Thumbs technical question

What makes comus trigger a new build? It's nott a cronjob so what is it?

(Have no idea about these things but our serverguy needs to now).

Thanks for your help!

badabump - I'm running out for an hour, hopefully there will be an answer here when I get back :)

dynastoned 05-23-2007 07:30 AM

hey anna comus has a board you should check it out. they usually respond pretty quickly.

Anna_O 05-23-2007 08:24 AM

Thanks Dynastoned :)

Yeah I know they have a board but figured I would get a much faster reply here. Apparently not.

And "pretty quickly" is a relative term and I'm not sure it always applies to the Comus support forum ;)

Spudman 05-23-2007 08:42 AM

do you mean what makes comus decide how many times to build a day or when in the day to build?

No, what resource on the server that is actualy used to make the build. It doesn't seems to be syncing with our server and our serverguy needs to know what it is that triggers the build. It's not a cronjob, so what is it?

boneless 05-23-2007 08:53 AM

you can find your answer on the comus board btw where i replied.

Anna_O 05-23-2007 08:57 AM

Thanks for the reply boneless! In this case "pretty quickly" surely didn't apply since it was very quickly.

But honestly, did you see the topic on this board first, or on the Comus board? ;)

Anna_O 05-23-2007 09:00 AM

And for the record - Comus support forum usually answer questions the same day. That's much better than most support forums out there.

someone told me about this topic thats why i answered to it, it made me look for your topic on the comus board yes, else it usually takes one hour (unless its my sleepin time) for me to enter the board and answer stuff, unless its stuff tony needs to answer then i immediatly shoot the url off to tony ;)

btw theres two more guys on the comus board...

RedShoe 05-23-2007 09:56 AM

Boneless is my favorite comus admin, then Tony, then Dred, then.. no wait, first Dred, then boneless. No. I mean Tony first then Dred, no I mean Boneless and THEN Dred, but only on Wednesdays. On Thursday I mix my favorites up again.

Vendzilla 05-23-2007 02:32 PM

And then there's me, I'll answer most questions
