Sony Cybershot F707

I love this thing, took some sample shots today, I think this cam will be great for shooting content. If you want to see some examples of the quality check these out, they have been reduced in size to 800x600 and compressed.

Note, the spider you see is one that I and my wife decided to let stay since it's a garden spider and we don't mind those because they don't come inside, now she's HUGE!

I don't know man, I kinda liked them bitches. I also have a 707. Congrats on a wise choice. Gotta love a small camera capable of 5 megapixels. :)

I don't normally kill anything that isn't in the house with the exception of the black widows, we've found quite a few of those too and now have someone coming out to spray for them. The garden spider is a good spider, they eat misquitos <sp>, other bugs, and other spiders :)

And the night vision (to me) is amazing, through the LCD it looks like you have a flashlight mounted on the camera, but the rest of the world sees no light on the subject, wife laughed cuz I was staring down the lens looking for any indication of how the fuck that worked heh...

Brown Bear 08-23-2002 06:32 PM

kill the spider, then take a picture of it

SetTheWorldonFire 08-23-2002 06:40 PM

BWAHAHAHAA... So did I!!

I have pic around here somewhere of my big eye looking at the camera in that night vision mode.

The best use of it so far was at my uncle's house. He had a party and we were in his patio at night it was dark so I switched into the night framing mode. I could see everyone like I had a green spotlight on them. When you take the photo it instantly turns the night vision off and snaps a normal pic. Beautiful feature.

I also have some pretty cool shots in night vision of my friend lighting his cigarette with a torch. It just looks like a bright glow. I'll post it when I find it.

gothweb 08-23-2002 08:32 PM

I have a 505. It's an older model, but I still love it. I have some great scenic shots from it floating around on my computer here somewhere. Maybe I'll find one quick...

Sly_RJ 08-23-2002 09:17 PM

Not the greatest, but I still think they're cool...

What are you using to reduce them?

The Sonys (especially the 707) are good for nature and close-ups. No problem to shoot holiday photos or photos of your family. But if you try to use this camera for pictures of nude girls: forget it...!!! The Sony has a big problem with the skin colour (it will be a mixture of white, pink and brown). If you make photos of some faces you can't see the problem. Try to shoot nude girls and you will hate this camera... For sure...!!!
