Dial up sucks damn it!!!
 

I just moved and am stuck using my dial-up AOL account until I get my new Earthlink accnt set up.... God knows when that will be because they haven't called me back yet! ( They probably can't because I'm on-line :1orglaugh )


Anywhooo, dial-up is sooooooooo slooooooow sometimes I'm not sure if it's just supposed to be like that, or if I've lost my connection somehow .... I can't stand it anymore!!!! Takes

No, I'm not going to use their browser, just IE.... so I still should be able to see em'..... After all, I gotta see my own pop-ups to check that they are working properly :1orglaugh

Does anyone know what's faster, cable or dsl? I can get both....

cable -- I've had better experiences with cable (I have used DSL in the past and it was horrible). Also, cable requires less installation and you'll probably pay a little less for faster speeds.

dail sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before

There are some things that suck more than dialup, like an apartment tower with 300 apartments and a frac-T1 (1 mbit) being shared for the whole bldg, and no DSL or cablemodem available. 400ms ping times are normal for this, dialup is about 250ms ping times usually. Dialup beats shared T1's ;)
