Cavs or Pistons???

I'm a cavs fan , of course, being that I'm in cleveland, however, as terrible as this sounds, if I were making a bet I don't think I'd choose the cavs. Hope Lebron can pull them thru, but I kinda doubt it.

OG LennyT 05-20-2007 08:48 PM

I think Cavs have a good shot to get to the finals but the Spurs are unbeatable

bonkerz2007 05-20-2007 08:57 PM

cavs are going all the way

sinclair 05-20-2007 10:06 PM

Cavs in six! Then the Spurs, which the Cavs don't have a shot at, at all.

NTSS 05-20-2007 10:26 PM

Cavs in 6....

NBA finals Cavs and Spurs..Cavs take it in 7

TiaLing 05-20-2007 11:01 PM

wow, guess everyones picking the cavs except me. I hope they do get to the finals, cleveland deserves it! However, beating the spurs would be near impossible.

BusterBunny 05-20-2007 11:03 PM

lol @ cavs in 6

Sly 05-20-2007 11:06 PM

Detroit City bitch.

San Antonio in 6. Detroit in 5. San Antonio in 6.

LMFAO, I only opened this thread so I could make fun of you for even asking the question and pointing out that you have to be from Ohio but since you did it yourself it ruined half the fun. The Pistons will skull fuck them, hardcore.

SomeCreep 05-21-2007 02:54 AM

Pistons in 6.

chuvii 05-21-2007 03:10 AM

pistons in 5!

Slick 05-21-2007 05:26 AM

I'll have to say Pistons in 6.

Now that my friends is a true optimist. LOL

Cleveland was credited with making things difficult for the Nets but in reality New Jersey simply doesn't have consistent shooters...

Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson will never be mistaken for marksmen and Vince Carter is an average shooter behind the 3-point line. The Cavs are a good defensive team but they benefited from many missed opportunities when New Jersey had open looks...

Meanwhile the Pistons have shooters at every position and extend defenses because of their offensive touch on the perimeter...

btw... Cleveland is 0-11 in the franchise’s history when opening Game 1 of a series on the road...

They don't have a shot???

They swept the Spurs during the regular season. How does that translate to not having a shot against them in the finals?

Zuzana Designs 05-21-2007 07:27 AM

I'm going Cavs they have made me some money in the playoffs this season

Dont get me wrong, would love to see it. But I think experience will be a big factor if they get that far.

cosis 05-21-2007 08:50 AM

Cavs in 7 - it's going to be an awesome series

D-Money 05-21-2007 09:42 AM

If the Cavs come out like they did in their last game, with the defensive press and playing within the paint on offense, I think they have a shot to take game 1 in Detriot. They have no pressure because everyone expects Detriot to take both games. So it's super important the Cavs come out strong in the first quarter. But man, why not play like that all game? They did it in the 1st and 4th quarters, didn't they stop the Nets to like 1 or 2 baskets in the forth in their last 2 games?

Remember the last post season against the Pistons, they were very strong in the final quarters the whole series.

So D-Mizzles key to the Cavs winning the series is the start of the game, they need to be up by 15 to 20 by the end of the first half of almost every game. Then they beat the Pistons in 6.

Realistically, they won't do that every game because Detriot has shooters, so they will make tough shots. But hey, they might do it this time because the Cavs are gellin'. I'm the only mo fo in this place pickin' the Cavs in 6.

LeBron needs to beat them up to get the next level of respect. If the Cavs make it to the big dance, it's gonna be tough to beat the Spurs. But they do match up nicely against them, they proved it in the regular season.

I'm predicting that LeBron will finally take over games in the begining
AND the end. As a fan who has watched almost every Lebron game (DVR's rule) I can say I've noticed his transformation and it's almost complete.

My message to LeBron, take the game over, take it to the basket LeBron, you're a big fucker! Don't be unselfish, look to drive the basket every offensive run, dish it out if you have 3 or 4 men on ya, but man, with 2 or 3 on you, you're the man!

Fuck Rasheed Wallace! I guarantee game 1 for the Cavs.

VexXxed 05-21-2007 11:33 AM

Cavs got a free ride thru the playoffs so far, playing the 2 worst teams out of the 16 that made it.

Look for Detroit to smash them. Pistons in 5.

sinclair 05-21-2007 11:37 AM

D-Money. Excellent analysis. I agree Lebron needs to prove his greatness in this series and needs to do it by willing his team to win ala MJ in his day.

BTW I think I beat you on the Cavs in 6 prediction. :thumbsup

TiaLing 05-21-2007 03:27 PM

Lebron will definetely need to prove his greatness, however, he's not going to beat detroit by himself ! Marshall, wild thing, hughes, and Z are all gonna have to step up! Sometimes that happens, sometimes not! Hopefully, they all show up to play for this entire series. 8pts in the 3rd quarter will get them slammed against detroit! Lebron can't play the entire game of the entire series. The rest of the team needs to pick up the slack if he gets in foul trouble or needs a break.

tranza 05-21-2007 03:51 PM

It's going to be a tough one. I wouldn't bet my money on this one...

TiaLing 05-21-2007 07:57 PM

Ahhhhh crap.........well, it was a great game anyway!!! LOL!

hard to win when your franchise player scores 10 points.

Lebron James has a ways to go from what I've seen this year of him - I see more Vince Carter/Tracy McGrady in him than I do Michael Jordan.

Ouch that hurt. LOL. Six games left to WITNESS.

TiaLing 05-21-2007 08:37 PM

ouch!

Yes, it did hurt! LOL! Tracy Mcgrady, uuuggghhh! Well, hopefully 6 more games!

Matt 26z 05-21-2007 08:39 PM

Yet another example of why Lebron will never be Michael Jordan.

Just 10 points on 5-15 shooting. He didn't even show up to play. This man is not a superstar. He is a choker.

Porno Dan 05-21-2007 08:57 PM

Lebron showed tonight that while we may be a great player, he has a long way to go before he becomes a true champion like MJ.

Sly 05-21-2007 09:01 PM

While he did a great job making plays the first half, he's going to need to learn that at some point in the game there isn't always time for "making plays", thats when you step-up and take over.

jryan89 05-21-2007 09:11 PM

they both suck
