Toronto zoo [new pics]
 

Today we took a much-needed break from production and spent a very enjoyable day checking out the Toronto Zoo. After many miles of walking and shootin' over 800 pics (2gb)...a few cherries in the bunch.

I agree, to a point.

Unfortunately, zoos have also become the last protected sanctuary for many breeds of wildlife.

Without zoos, there are many species of animals that would vanish entirely.

Google "Thylacine".

The Sumatran Tiger (pictured above) is now on the critically-endangered species list, with only 400 or so left in the wild.
