how do you think life started?

ill assume most reasonable people believe in evolution. what do you think sparked life on this planet?

was it a lightning bolt hitting some stagnant rainwater and some strange chemical reaction resulted which was life?

did a comet hit the earth with life matter on it?

was life created from those deep sea trenches with the hot springs?

it happened somehow, whats your opinion? im with the comet theory

I could care less how it happened, all I know its that Im here right now and that I will die so I better enjoy life and stop worrying where I came from.

I think it started from a chemical reaction of some sort .... but who knows ....

thats the cool think about humans vs animals, we can ponder how our existence began

I watched a show last night that claimed the moon was much closer to the earth, and it's effect on our planet was much larger. They claimed the ocean had waves that were thousands of feet tall, which would sweep over all land every time it passed. This caused all the materials on the planet to merge together creating a huge melting pot of sludge and what not.

I do believe in the Big bang Theory:)

absolutely, although i think he is referring to what happened after that, after the earth was created

something fucked someone and we stop swimming in the ocean...besides birds were never here on earth flying unless the ocean level was high as the mountains.

Comets are, almost certainly, the main source of our water.

And while I'm not ruling out some sort of xeno-influence on our evolution, I think that the Miller-Urey Experiment in the 50's pretty much proved life would have a tendency to generate under specific environmental circumstances.

Given that, I think it quite possible that nature can do the same in a broad range of situations that we've yet to experiment with to that degree.

I'm a believer that life started here, but then outside influences might have affected it along the way.

But then, who really knows? :)
