A GOOD Experience
 

Forums are often the place for people to air their grievances.
Well, here is a tale of a good experience I just had.
I had been promoting Movie Partnership (moviepartnership.com) for the last few years....and when I had first started promoting them, they didn't have a "check" option and I didn't have an epassporte account.
Well when I did get my epass account I kinda forgot about it. I promote over 500 different programs and try to keep track of them all through stats remote, so sometimes shit falls through the cracks. So a few years went by and I accumulated a little money in that account and didn't really notice it.
Anyway, back on April 1st I saw the indicator light on statsremote for Movie Partnership go "red".
I tried logging into my account and couldn't. So I wrote the support email at movie partnership.
A couple of weeks went by and I wrote again.
Another week went by and I wrote again and was sorta angry about it.
The webmaster wrote me back and told me that they had a DIFFERENT email than mine for that account and my password had been changed and they had just sent a nice size amount of money to the account of the person they now had on file!!!
I was furious!
My account was hacked. My money was gone. And I'm in the U.S. and MoviePartnership is in Europe.
I was screwed.
No.
Alex at Movie Partnership took the loss, and epassed me the money owed me. He sent me a new password to my account, restored my real info, and locked my account from any further changes.
THAT is a stand up person. It's the way business should be conducted. He could have told me to fuck off.
But he didn't. He did the right thing.
And I just wanted to share that with everyone and endorse Movie Partnership as an honest affiliate program. And no, I'm not putting my refer code in it either. Just go check it out on your own if you have a tgp. They have FHG's for you to use. :)

name changes shouldn't even be allowed without verification.

The guy that hacked my account didn't change my name...He just changed the password and put in pay info for himself.
I had my Nasty Dollars account hacked a couple of months ago (never got my money back from that one)
And the asshole that did that was even smarter! He didn't change ANYTHING except the payout info! So I never even noticed it! Stats Remote kept checking the stats and everything was just fine. One day I just happened to log into the account and saw that my money had been sent to someone else for the previous months!!!!
I got in contact with Nasty Dollars and they knew who it was...it was a guy who was an affiliate as well and had his own account. They told me that they canceled his account...but never offered to give me the money that I was owed. The piece of pondscum who hacked it got my money. :mad:
I have always been the kind of person who would get irritated when I couldn't change things on my accounts without having to jump through hoops. I just have so damn many that it's hard to get things done in a timely manner sometimes.
But after getting two accounts hacked...I now have to say that it's worth the extra time and frustration to have to jump through those hoops. It's for our own protection.
AEBN is real good about that. They make you go through HELL to change anything! LOL! I'm talking about getting shit notarized, faxing forms...a real pain in the butt. But you know what? I'm GLAD they do that.
And again, I'd like to say that Alex at Movie Partnership showed he is a true gentleman and an honest webmaster by making this whole thing right for me. :)
