I think Snopes is wrong on this one. If they did in fact spell out "READY NOW" then they may very well have done the FUCK IRAQ thing also. Snopes does not disprove this at all.

or... someone took "ready now" and obviously phoshopped it into "fuck iraq" which is clearly evident by the poor photoshop work and obvious blurs where they cut/cropped and manipulated the letters.

i can't believe anyone is so fucking dumb to think that the navy, on an aircraft carrier, with the full complicity of all officers on board (looking down onto the deck from the bridge), organized some of the crew into a formation that says "fuck iraq" for a photog in a helicopter... knowing full well they would all be punished for it and it would cause international scandal.
