irritating landlord.
 

my landlord has some guy in my backyard this morning hammering something. i don't know what it is or why he's doing it. suggestions?

and yes bb guns are out of the question.

Get a Glock?

Walk outside and ask what he is hammering, or save money and buy your own place.

Ask him what he's doing and if it sounds fun then join him.

i live in los angeles. 500 bucks says the guy outside doesn't speak english. it's not my landlord. it's someone he sent out there. and besides i'm not dressed and i'd rather sit here and complain than put clothes on. going out there without the clothes is like the beginning of some horribly plotted porno from the early 80s that i dont want to be a part of.

He's probably hammering for no apparent reason, obviously!

MONDAY morning with my alarm set for 8:20am, I'm awakened at 7:40 by the lawnmower from hell right outside my window.

I live on one of 3 cul de sacs lined with townhomes with conjoined back yards, so the lawnmowing is an all day affair for one thing, and for another thing it was before 8am which I'm pretty sure is the earliest legal time to run a lawnmower. Pissed me right the hell off.

I'd call my landlord, and ask what all the ruckus is...

And unless it was some sort of emergency (being that I live in Los Angeles), I'd then politely remind him/her that it's illegal for such disruptions between the hours of 9PM and 8AM.

Hopefully, that'd solve the problem - but if not, I might be moved to file a police report the next time it happened, and turn a copy of that in along with a rent check that was 10% light the next month. Of course, I'd be prepared to cough up the extra 10% if asked for... because that stunt could, technically, get me evicted - but the exercise would probably get my point accross more effectively.

just wait till he's done..since you can't ask him to know what he is hammering to..i think he will not spend the whole day doing that stuff.:thumbsup
