They are called bar end mirrors, http://www.parkeryamaha.com/index.as...D&ProdID=24966

They dont work all that great, but then again all those bikes are more for looks, I would hate to ride any of them.

I have straight bars on my current bike and i can't see shit out of any Reg mirrors i put on it. Unless they are big goofy looking things. those look like I'd be able to see a little if i get them out far enough.

I love the Ducati Monster with the naked look but these bring in an entirely new mechanical look. I love seeing what makes it work. I don't understand building a machine and covering it up with plastic ..

WebairGerard 05-18-2007 09:00 AM

those are very cool looking bikes

Those mirrors are rubber mounted, so on your straight bar they might work better.

I like the naked look also, but I ride hard, the bikes above I would break in a matter of minutes :)

Nice pics!

Casa Nova 05-18-2007 09:31 AM

Thats definitly a really nice bike, It kinda integrates both the cruiser look & the sports bike all in one, defintly a beautiful bike. If you like that you'll probbaly like Hondas Rune, heres a pic, it's certainly a smoking hott bike.

There is no accounting for taste . . . not sure how you would classify any of those as "sports bikes."

The first one is just art but the one with the orange rims is a sport bike.

here is a little about the bike

? Hand-Pounded Aluminum Tank NOT the carbon fiber.

? Balanced and Blueprinted 113 C.I.
? 200 Rear Tire on Marchesini Racing Wheels
? Paioli Front Forks
? 6 Piston Discacciati Front Brakes, 4 Piston Rear
? Stainless Steel Exhaust
? Hydraulic Clutch

? Perelli Z Rated Tires
? Auto Meter Gauges
? Custom, High Performance Electric Shifter (Left Thumb Shift)
? Low Production Numbers, under 200 for 2002
? Just over 10,000 miles

The CONFEDERATE HELLCAT is the ultimate American performance bike.

Low production, handcrafted, high performance machines produced from the highest quality components in the world: Race quality European hydraulics and suspension coupled with a (S&S) 113 cubic inch motor, and chrome-moly frame.

The HELLCAT is the crown jewel of the Confederate Company. Magazines have called it the fastest, best handling, quickest stopping production bike in America. Currently, the price of a new one is over 60 thousand dollars. They come standard with many milled billet parts. (As opposed to castings) All brakes, levers, master cylinders, pegs, rocker box covers, front fork assembly, and even the entire inner and outer primary case are 6160 - T6 milled billet aluminum.

WORKS PERFORMANCE suspension. Polished billet rocker boxes. RIVERA PRIMO primary drive coupled through the 5 speed right side drive transmission with Andrews backcut gears with ball bearing support on both sides of the counter shaft sprocket. The oil rides in the frame which also cools the oil, 5 quart capacity. Temperature and pressure gauges are standard.

Not for nothing Baddog but I don't think I've ever seen a Bike thread that you had something positive to say. I know you've been riding for many many years but that doesn't make you an expert on everything motorcycle. People have different taste in bikes and I love Harley and Cruisers but I'd like to own a Sporter type bike also. Maybe just a head turner .. I can afford to so why not.

The one with orange rims looks okay, but I would classify that more as a bar hopper than a sports bike. Hard to tell from the angles of the shots, but the foot boards seem too low to get down into the turns. Hence, not a "sport bike" IMHO.

150 hose powers

It's not a Track bike but it looks like it can handle anything the road throws at it. If you look at the pic below you can see the brass brake peddle and it looks pretty high. The Bike has an electric shifter in the form of a thumb switch so I would assume the left peg is about the same height as the brake peg. They are $60k bike made with some of the best performance parts so i would think they are a combo of style and function .

They shoot these bikes like they are fucking models so it's hard to find a clear cut pic of the pegs but doesn't seem any lower then any other sport bike i see on the road.

i was at bourget's bikes in scottsdale a few weeks ago, they have a couple confederates for sale. incredible looking machines, i sat on one, the pegs are in a good spot- not painfully high but not so low as to grind on a reasonable high speed turn, imo.

tons of cool tech, the exhaust on this one was integrated into the swingarm and had a flexible piece to allow it to move with the suspension.

pretty slick rides, certainly ground pounders.

I'm really liking them. I'm going to see if there are any local that i can checkout . I thin i need to see one up close and sit on it to make a purchase like that.

latinasojourn 05-19-2007 10:33 PM

not dissin' the bike, but it ain't a sportbike, it is a cute poser bike.

a sportbike is ALL about high speed performance and handling, with style a secondary consideration.

a showroom stock hayabusa or gsxr would leave that thing in the dust for 10k or less.
