Blog plugins - questions/answers - Gather'round
 

Im looking for any nifty wordpress plugins.

Also for general knowledge list any you think are worth a fuck so me AND the public can see whats what....

first off, Im wondering there are any gallery generating plugins available...something maybe that can grab pics from a gallery and dump them in a template page?

and how about a stats integrated plugin..and if not plugin..... what would someone recommend for keeping ACCURATE stats that arent boggled by blog script.

I'm doing a ton of blog research at the moment so I'll be interested to see the answers to this myself...

Firestats is the only decent stat plugin I know of. I'm sure there are others, however.

Check out Joomla!

They have the largest online support community of any open source CMS out there. They have a shitload of super cool extensions/plug-ins too.

firestats is a HORRIBLE hog of a beast...if you get anything over 800-1000 uniques a day you will see you blog start to slow like crazy

I always go with independent stats, installed away from the blog

I use around twice as many across all my own and client sites but I don't have a list of them and it gets a little tricky because some particular combinations don't seem to work too well. But that's 20-some to be getting on with :)
