Anyone from Australia
I am planning a trip to Australia and looking for someone that might live there or visited that might be able to give me some info.
I just recently just got back from vacation in Ireland and a group of 14 of us rented a castle and pretty much had free reign of the place for the week. It actually made the trip pretty cost efficient with all of us paying for the place. Well we all decided Australia would be our next trip and I was hoping to come across a house or something we could all get together again. I figured there might be someone in here that lives there or has been there to give me some pointers in research or even better areas to stay at or stay away from. Thanks... PaytonRain |

Hey man , I would say The Gold Coast in Queensland is the place to go I've been there 3 times and the place just rocks, they dont have castles to stay in but you can get big holiday houses on/near the beach to stay in.

There is nothing to see in Australia.

Batts says he's from Australia, but the closest he has ever gotten is Outback Steakhouse - he really lives in Boise, Idaho, where he is a potato farmer.
Steer clear of him, mate. :2 cents: :winkwink: ADG Webmaster |

As a few have already said, the Gold Coast in Queensland is the best option you could look at ... unless you are pasty skinned red headed freckled irish folk, in which case you'll possibly go home burnt to a crisp with a few melanona's LOL
What kind of stuff are you into? If you like the outdoors or horse riding or golf etc would make a difference to where you stayed. There's some amazing places in country australia but I don't know that you'd get enough variety to stay in any one town for long. Or do you want to wake up & surf then get drunk at the local surf club before heading out to surf again then hit the strip clubs in the evening? That's the Gold Coast ;-) But its also close to mountains with rainforests & walking tracks, some wineries, amazing scenery, its own airport, heaps of tourists, hot chicks in bikinis etc. This is a typical sunrise view & apartments on the water like this are available from around $500 per week. http://www.carlajayne.com/galleries/...m-DSC_4934.jpg the skyline from a suburb 15 drive minutes up the beach from the city Surfers Paradise http://www.carlajayne.com/blogs/myspace/surfers.jpg You'll usually see dolphins every few weeks & if you are there at the right time can get pretty close ... http://www.carlajayne.com/blogs/myspace/dolphins.jpg But there's beautiful places all around this country so it all just depends on what you like! |
I grew up in Melbourne, and I'll be back home in 2 weeks on the 10th of June. If you guys are area, or anyone else for that matter, hit me up.
