Sugar Glider Pet...Great for office

I love these things. On my new house I'm building a kick ass greenhouse/garden and I didn't know these pets also kill and eat lizards!

When I get my 'Mad Scientist' on I'm of course going to try to grow the biggest sugar gliders and teach them to bite people in the head and kill dogs and shit.

lol sugar gliders are awesome, they love to sleep all day but you have to have time for them at night to play with. make sure you plug all the outlegs and that they cant escape, their like children , i know when i had mine i had to devote atleast 2 hours late night to play with them because they need it.

Y'know, it was a couple of years ago when I studied sugar gliders that I realized how awesome they are and that you need to spend time with them as they're very social animals. I can tell you're an expert just on that fact alone.

I was hoping I could find a companion animal to keep them happy during play time like a rabbit or something. Just in case I had to go out of town.

Pets need care and my busy schedule doesn't go for it so I figured I could build a greenhouse/indoor garden , I mean a big one, that 's self sustaining for at least a month in case some shit happened and I was holed up somewhere. I used to futz around designing them and the technology now is so awesome and the parts are cheap.

Having your own arboretum at home!

I had a friend who lived in Texas who had one of those. They are pretty cool.

Jeez, you really are an ill fuck. Why don't you just advertise for a new owner for the SG. One who will give a shit about it and care for it.

I'm sure someone will adopt it from you.

Why would I give this curse to someone else? I'm not a cruel person, why would I want other people to suffer with this shitty ass piece of crap? I got two of the fuckers thinking they’d be neat pets and regretted it after about two weeks because they won’t quit fucking barking like a dog. If I’d wanted two more dogs I would have bought two more fucking dogs. Anyways, they are mine; I brought the problem upon myself by getting them. One is dead and I'll just have to wait until the other one dies then flush it down the toilet like a goldfish. Then I will finally have peace.

I think he's just baiting you - I don't think any self-respecting animal would allow itself to be his pet

I got two sugar gliders a while back and now i have 6 so now they are all in this huge cage i have for them and they are really neat pets. Get a camping tent and let them loose in there for a little while with the door closed. They'll jump all around in it like crazy. When they get out though they are hard to catch. Make sure all the windows and doors are closed.

ROFL. Anyways, sugar gliders have been the worst pets I have ever owned and you couldn?t make me get another one. Give me a box turtle any day of the week.

Furious_Female 05-17-2007 01:16 PM

I'd like to have one but we have 6 cats :(

carol.prime 05-17-2007 01:38 PM

If you breed them right and you're lucky enough to get them with special markings or albinos you could make a pretty good penny on them.

How tough are they to manage? I've heard they kill spiders and other bugs too especially at night in the kids' rooms. I heard they'll alert if they see a snake too. Their night vision is awesome I've read as well.

their hella cute but VERY time consuming.. I want one someday..

Let's just say...if all 6 of them get out you don't need to go to the gym for the rest of the week. LOL. I don't let them out free unless I am watching them and I am not sure about the snake thing. I did have a tarantula too which was pretty cool, but they never saw it.
