David Stern can lick my hairy ass

He would - looking for quarters.

I really hate that dude. Nobody threw a punch. Nobody got pushed. Nobody got hurt. They stood up in anger and went to defend their TWO TIME MVP AND LEADER OF THEIR TEAM.

I can't believe they let their legal bullshit interfere with the actual game. What are they worried about, that if they go against their rule (because it's clearly stupid to apply it in this situation) they'll get sued or something?

Fuckin idiot probably never bounced a basketball before.

I'm a Spurs fan and what Horry did was wrong and he deserves his suspension. The Suns didn't deserve any suspensions but... rules are rules and the NBA is sticking to them no mater how watered down they are. Do some of these rules ruin the game? Of course but what can you do if you're a fan? Either suck it up and keep watching or don't watch at all, other than that there's nothing else anyone can really do.

Everyone is watching even more now. Maybe Stern was counting on it. Is BS brought a big spotlight to the NBA and the Playoffs.

On a side note ... the rule is fucked. It wasn't interperted the right way. He screwed the Suns to a point.

MSN had a huge cover story today about how rules are destroying basketball in the NBA. Kerr had a nice write-up about it in his blog, too.

I wish it were that easy, the "rules are rules" argument would make sense if the rule was easy to interpret. The rule says absolutely nothing about stepping on the court and crossing over the out of bounds line. The exact rule states that "During an altercation, no player may leave the immediate vicinity of the bench" So what exactly does "immediate vicinity" mean? Diaw took 4 steps from the bench, is that still in the immediate vicinity? Define altercation, there were no punches thrown, no pushing, was it really an altercation?

I was at the game tonight and you could feel the Spurs were going to be there in the end despite how horrible they played for three quarters. I still think the Suns can win in SA, its going to be a battle.
