What Am I Doing Wrong? Promoting an affiliate program

I am looking for a little advice. I have had a website for 10 years with a good track record and excellent conversion rates. Recently I started an affiliate program. I am looking for ways or places to promote (and trade) affiliate programs with other webmasters, but I'm not getting any response.

I think my program is very fair with 50% payouts all the way around, but only had one signup and a few of my longtime webmaster friends. Are there any great websites to garner some interest from webmasters and trade links/programs with?

They might be concerned about the type of content.

well assuming the site and content is fine, its just about promotion.

webmasters are geeks, which means we hang around in forums a lot. Perhaps start up a campaign, you could advertise in the GFY top banner spot, a contest thread (that requires entrants to have a valid signup) buy users signatures... etc etc

And u could do this on other forums too. :thumbsup

Marketing of pay site is generally a very complex task, there are many factors that take place at one time influencing sale of memberships together (also on the other side, there are many things/possibilities you should/could do to boost the sales).

Things depends on your budget and how much time & money are you willing to invest.
As stated above, lots of ppl are hanging around webmaster boards - you can do some good promo there even with less investment.

Hmm, I'd invest in a professional design for the site and your webmaster program page first...it's looks very "homemade"

I agree , I'd stick to the common tour designs.
Right now it does not make the impression that it is a good porn site on the first impression .. nothing teasy
