We just saw it today as well. We were the only ones in the theater, just the way I like it, a private screening!

The movie was very good. I think could have cut the film down by 30 minutes (mosty from the last half of the movie), but it was cool seeing the webslinger back in action and kicking some major ass.

:thumbsup

Twenty Things I Learned from Watching Spider-Man 3:

1. A phone cord can support a 115 pound person longer than an aluminum (or steel) support beam can.

2. Mary Jane Watson is a complete bitch and should be dropped off the tallest building possible... oh wait.

3. Police in New York always carry a shovel to dig for, and or stab, people in sand.

4. Particle Accelerators will give you superpowers.

5. Spider-Man is a vain bastard who would rather flirt than save New York from a giant cloud of sand.

6. Spider-Man reveals his secret identity at every opportunity possible in broad daylight.

7. People with a French accent mispronounce Parker as "Pecker".

8. Nerds in the Spider-Man universe get all the pussy.

9. Peter Parker is the most bipolar person ever. He goes from angry, to happy, to sad all within 60 seconds.

10. Young people enjoy doing the twist. This isn't a metaphor for sex either.

11. Mirrors can fix memory impairment.

12. Evidently Mary Jane forgets Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

13. Black Spider-Man is instantly hated and feared by New York because black people are evil.

14. Symbiotes from space enjoy dancing and doing pelvic thrusts.

15. It is necessary to tell God your full name, otherwise he won't know it's you who are talking to him.

16. You can only remove a symbiote in a church because it is made out of mexicans, i.e. ungodly shit.

17. Butlers are creepy and will love anything that breathes.

18. Flashbacks can be informative for retarded people.

19. A tiny bomb will completely vaporize a person and a symbiote, leaving no matter behind.

.

..

...

20. Venom's voice is by far the biggest let down in all of movie history.

It's a movie, not real life:2 cents:

Ya... it was pretty decent. The special effects were fantastic... so were the fight sequences... but those are only 2 elements of the movie.

The plot moved a bit slowly for my taste.

Well, that and I discovered between Spierman 2 and 3 that Kirsten Dunst is a real-life twit.... so maybe that impacted my view.

I'd give it, overall, a thumbs-up... but it's not as high as the first two, imho.

zeruel 05-16-2007 11:33 PM

yeah right... it's a movie... you can't apply that in real life man... lol...

i love the story plot... it rocks... :D

because it sucked as a film
it was entertaining as a string of cool animations and effects.

since when do all the villains and the super hero all kiss, hug and make up in the end? had to be the most retarded and anticlimactic ending to a movie of this type ever.

Fap 05-16-2007 11:44 PM

i heard it sucked from so many people..

flashfire 05-17-2007 12:32 AM

For me, Venom was the biggest letdown in a Comicbook-to-Movie adaptation.

The way they explained it just fucking SUCKED!

Other than that, they just tried to fit TOO many things in a single movie. I mean, the venom thing, the sandman, the whole going evil thing and all the romance you'd expect from 3 seasons of Lost.

It would be great if they focused on a single villain at a time.

I think the 4th movie should be about the Doc turning into a lizard and Spidey growing 2 more limbs -- and nothing more.

LMAO - I remember that lizard dude from the old Spiderman cartoon series on tv. He used to drink that bubbling potion and turned into the lizard guy and when he returned to his normal state he would be bewildered and confused, much like David Banner and the Hulk.

If there is a 4th installment of this series, I hope that Electro is the bad guy!

I thought the movie was great... right on par with the other 2 movies, and it's easy to see why it's breaking their old records. I really enjoyed it!

As for a 4th movie, should they ever do it, I'd like to see Carnage... he's the next logical step after Venom. But the extra arms story was a good one.

Oh, and the only disappointment for me in Spidey 3 was that Venom didn't say "we" as he should have. He said "I want to see him dead" when he should have said "we want to see him dead".

jdc 05-17-2007 04:30 AM

OMG... it seems like i'm the only one in this thread who doesn't watch it yet...

A lot of the movie is very dark, and camera jobs almost always are dark to begin with.

I wouldn't even bother trying cause I'm sure you wouldn't see half of what's happening anyway.

Screaming 05-17-2007 06:55 AM
