Looking to invest $10,000 in scratch off lotto tickets.

Figured I would take some bigger risks and try something different, anyone have any tips for this sort of investing?

Chris 05-16-2007 02:52 PM

why do that? more fun going to a casino and playing slots or something random like that

g$$$ 05-16-2007 02:52 PM

no..buy all the same type....same philosophy works with the SAT...GMAT..etc...if u are going to guess..stay consistent with the thing u are guessing on..e.g. always guess c...also..slot machines...keep playing the same one....

ThePornPusher 05-16-2007 02:53 PM

I don't think that would be considered an investment.

HAHAHA, I was thinking the same thing.

But I agree with Chris, why not go to the casino, it'll be way more fun and even if you lose, you'll get comped a free dinner. :)

g$$$ 05-16-2007 02:55 PM

10k on the darkest most disturbing sniff film you can shoot with the highest death count. Then sell it to those torrent guys who cant get shut down.

camgirlshide 05-16-2007 07:03 PM

How about you send me a check and I'll mail you back one for half.
We can keep doing this until you run out of money.
You'll get the same effect and I promise it will be just as fun.

Wait for a "Raffle to Riches" type game in (or around) your state. These games are by far the best odds to win big prizes. You will NEVER have better odds to win big money than a "Raffle to Riches" game. This is something to always remember.

starpimps 05-16-2007 07:12 PM

wont your hands get tired
lol
2 5k bets on baccarat..very near 50/50..pay 5% if u bet on banker

Big_Red 05-16-2007 07:13 PM

i would spread it out as stated above. not all the same game.

Raven Riley Wants Me Bad 05-16-2007 07:17 PM

For example, if your state runs a "Raffle to Riches" game (normally just once a year if ever) the tickets are usually about $20.

Your odds of winning a million dollars would be 1 in 125,000. Your odds of winning either one million dollars or one hundred thousand dollars is 1 in 62,500.

So, take $10,000 and buy 500 tickets. Your odds then become 1 in 250 to win 1 million dollars and your odds of winning either 1 million dollars or 100 thousand dollars would be 1 in 125. NO Vegas games and no state lottery game can beat that!

Just what I was thinking!!!

The last time I "invested" in scratch off tickets the only real problem I ran into was losing all my money. So other than that, I can't really think of any other tips for you, have fun.

DBS.US 05-16-2007 09:49 PM

I see lotto tickets as a idiot tax
