Is our industry hurt by the "mainstreaming" of porn?
For the last couple of years, I've seen everyone talk about the mainstreaming of porn.
Does this actually hurt us more than help us? Do we exist because we are taboo or because we fulfill some basic need (sex)? While I don't have any major issues with this so-called mainstreaming of porn, I wonder if the fact we are becoming less and less taboo hurts us more than helps us profit-wise. Is it a good thing or a bad thing to go from mom and pop operations to a more corporate culture? Do we lose some of that edge by doing so? |
I thought torrents were the killers of the industry.

I don't think mainstreaming of porn will kill us so much as it can make us less appealing without the forbidden factor... |
