Huge Traffic, no traffic? :S

I don't get it, its syaing my fling ads get like a couple of clicks a day when they should be getting atleast 10, my other ads get more clicks and they are in worse positions and smaller ads. Why? For example the top text on one of my sites is "Women looking to FUCK in *country*" and when I get like a couple of hundred uniques it still apparently only gets a couple of clicks when it MUST get more. Any explanation?

10 clicks a day?? Dayum.. You're a playa dude....

Maybe they count "uniques" as a "hit" and the others count raws. Just a thought.

Counts will always vary from sponsor to sponsor. Some are counted as raw and some as unique and others as unique in a given time period (one might count a visit in 24 hours unique and another 72 hours unique).

The best way to determine for yourself what is earnign you the most money is to count your outbound raw clicks and see which sponsor sends you the biggest checks.

"At least 10".... LOL, sorry didn't mean to laugh but that was funny.

How do you know it should be 10?

Because my other ads get more then that and an ad like this should get more clicks... Also its not the numbers thats important its the proportion of the numbers.

Maybe your ads are oversaturated every second site out there has the same ads:2 cents:

he-fox 05-16-2007 04:31 PM

why do you think your surfers "should" click on a certain ad?

BucksMania 05-16-2007 04:37 PM

Ok, but why you are worried, when regardless its 2 or 10 u dont make any money anyway

Clicks depend of the size of the ad alot, especially in the header. Visitors are focussed on content, they are used to ads and ignore them most of the time.

So, you either have to integrate them in your content a bit better, make them really interesting or just get rid of them.

From a couple of hundred uniques, it's hard to say anyway, but the old fashioned ways of banner and textlink advertising don't work well any more. Just look at the stats for some PPC services, there are sites with 100k uniques daily that barely deliver triple digit clicks via textlinks that look like ads, placed in some ad block.

What I mean by integrating in content ? You could for example pick one girl from the Fling content, write a bit about her, include a bio, some pics, some reviews of the site and link this stuff to Fling.

Presell your visitor, it's not about making him click (that's what skimmed TGP traffic is, just loads of clicks worth shit), it's about generating interest in something.
