Did anyone buy gas on May 15th

I thought I would start yet another thread on the same topic.

Pete-KT 05-16-2007 12:02 AM

Yup sure did

Ragging Rhino 05-16-2007 02:08 AM

Yeah...
We were out of town and on empty.
Had too.
Besides, that stuff doesn't work.
Regaurdless if you don't buy it one day..you'll still have to buy it the day before or after. The Oil companies will get their money anyhow.

King Adam 05-16-2007 02:14 AM

Nope .... I stayed home.

siccmade 05-16-2007 02:20 AM

I didn't buy gas but that's just because I didn't need it.

I think it'll take way more than a 1 day boycott to make a difference anyway. People would have to travel less overall.

The whole situation is fucked. Gas is high. Where I live there are no jobs. Lots of houses are for sale. Is the world coming to an end?

Ditto and Ditto... If I needed it I would have gotten it..

schneemann 05-16-2007 03:16 AM

This whole one-day boycott thing is the most assinine and idiotic thing I've seen in a long time.

A one day boycott wouldn't do shit to oil prices. Drivers would still consume gasoline during the day and therefore, if anything, would INCREASE demand for gasoline on May 16th.

The only way for any boycott to make an impact on prices is for an extremely large number of people to CONSUME LESS gasoline over a sustained period of time. Like a "Walk to work for a week" boycott or maybe even something longer than that.

Iron Fist 05-16-2007 03:36 AM

Is this another e-mail chain/spam that says "If you boycott just one day, then the oil companies will fall to their knees and HAVE TO LOWER gas prices, you know supply and demand - that's how it works!"

Sheech - how gullible do you have to be to believe that crap?

Sarah_Jayne 05-16-2007 03:37 AM

No I didn't but then again I don't drive.

Zuzana Designs 05-16-2007 03:45 AM

yep sure did filled my tank up, was I not supposed to ??

potter 05-16-2007 04:11 AM

I get gas about once a week and I usually run out Sunday or Monday depending on how much I drove during the week.

So no, I didn't get gas on the 15th.

Angelo22 05-16-2007 05:27 AM

....No....

sumphatpimp 05-16-2007 05:56 AM

I was out shopping yesterday and I passed 3 stations with about 8 or 10 pumps each.
all pumps were in use.
the boycot was a real big susccess.

SykkBoy 05-16-2007 05:59 AM

I had to....otherwise I wouldn't have made it to work...

Gregory Black 05-16-2007 06:29 AM
