Those .us domains...porn allowed?

I got a domain i want to register with a .us domain, think it will do well in the search engines. Just yesterday while searching through google i saw some killer .us domains listed high.

So are they cool to use for porn or what? I get some sort of "eligibility" list from godaddy...askin me if im a corporation inside the US etc.

Whats the deal?

just select for profit.. when you register it

greentea 08-22-2002 06:12 PM

I saw several .us domains with #1 listings on google yesterday. You might want to re-think your opinion. Unless of course there are some sort of legal issue's...which is what im trying to figure out.

I do agree you can TAKE any domain and optimize it for search engine use.. What i mean is when it comes to domains .COM is it.

If your going to build a site and brand it etc its always better done with a .COM

InsaneMidget 08-22-2002 06:18 PM

Lots of .ca porn domains for canada.

Fletch XXX 08-22-2002 06:19 PM

I think it's highly overrated

If you're using them for profit ya gotta be in the USA, that's it.

I've only got one .us name, milf.us - not great but I just had to have it :winkwink:

What's that? .COM

I dont think so.. Granted most great. COM domains are bought, there is a treasure chest out there of good ones.

Ill take a .COM over anything anyday

pr0 08-22-2002 06:23 PM

There are just some kick ass .us keyword domains left out there. I'll go ahead & register the one i've had my eye on. If it ends up that .us is a child-safe domain extension in the future...i guess i can turn it into a G-rated site.

greentea 08-22-2002 06:24 PM

Go for it, milk it for whats its worth.

lawpal 08-22-2002 06:26 PM

I think they are overrated, but I could not resist and registered the shortest one I could
