Anti-Console webmasters
 

I've been trading traffic with 20 or so people I know well. I add an exit popup that goes directly to a particular directory listing helping my site's rank, traffic (and actually do provide a very easy to navigate directory for the surfer) on an archive/s page within the site. Most of the people I trade with I had contacted about a week or two in advance to let them know I was making drastic changes in layout and adding an exit popup. 12 hours after I modify the site I am contacted by another webmaster who is one of the fairly large sized trades and whom I thought would not have a problem with it.

The overall message was that I was cheating and now must be blacklisted from our trade together. I took down the exit popup as soon as I received the message, though it does considerably help my traffic the last thing I want is to be labled a cheater. I would like to know someone else's opinion on this, I know some guys are hardcore anti-console but once a surfer enters something such as the archives I still cannot use one single popup at all? I'll abide by any rules to conform to my current TGP trades but really I'm more interested in your opinions. Am I going to be considered a cheater for have a popup inside the site? Why is an exit popup so bad?

No you can't. TGP's purpose is to provide with free porn without worrying for profits. Don't deny this fact, because most of the tgps don't make any and some of the owners have loss. Your attempt to benefit from your tgp is prohibited and this will not be tolerated. You are fucking cheater. Admit it now, you'll feel better.

so that's the moral of it, some people are console crazy.

I don't want to lose him as a trade, I will even setup a seperate archives section specifically for him but to just blacklist me seems like bad business for both.

Please any more opinions or people's views on having a console within the tgp and not on the front page?

TGP with a clean exit console = CJ2 site

Simple solution - make a CJ2 copy of your site and trade with both kinds of sites. TGPs send to no console URL, CJ2 sites send to exit console URL. Everyone is happy.

And if that is the only way you can come up with a link pop on a TGP you need a great big slap with a tuna.

I'm not sure if this really matters to anyone who actively posts to this board. I made a mistake. I'm not talking about adding the exit console to the archives I actually did upload the wrong index page and hit the surfer with not one but two consoles for a period of time. I was wrong, it's cheating, I'm blacklisted. The consoles are down and I apologize to anyone and everyone.

two consoles to the same place which only counts unique visitors.

the popup was small (300x300) and unscrollable aswell so it did not good to the site it went to.

I am the one who contacted hin and told him he was cheating. He was trading with my site boneme.com which doesnt allow popups. He just added the console in the last couple of days because it wasnt there when the trade started. There were 2 problems with his exit console.

1. i dont trade with sites with consoles

2. the exit console was 100x300 with no scroll bars. so he was loading a site(porndirectory.com) that the surfers would not be able to do anything with.

he was cheating both me and porndirectory which is why i blacklisted him.

Maybe you should give up the porn business as you are obviousley a cheat you now have a bad name and will not be able to to show your face in public ever again

If i was you I would take these immediate steps

1) Change your Name and never contact anyone from your previous life! why Should your Family & Friends suffer due to actions

2) Move out of your country perhaps to Russia you will fit in there

3) Shave off all body hair off

4) Buy a wig

5) try and get a good deal on a Boob Job

I have known this person both professionally and personally for some time now.

He doesn't cheat on purpose. It was a mistake on his part and he was up all night tore up about it. Now I can joke and laugh all I want but you should assess the situation and remember you were new once too.

I'm sure if you take him off the blacklist you won't see this again.

and you had every right to blacklist our trade for the popup on the index. or cancel the trade altogether. it's your site do what you like with it. I wasn't aware i had two pops on my index and archives. Yes i did end up break your rules. Yes you blacklisted me. Yes I apologize, it was wrong to have a popup on my index. I wasn't sure about having a console anywhere in the site so i did it. Traffic went up prod% went up. I didn't see a problem with it. Had I known I had a popup on my index I would have known firsthand that I was indeed cheating.

I'm not going anywhere. I broke the rules regardless of how it happened I still broke them. I'm not leaving this business. I'm not going to cheat either. If I was interested in hiding my identity and screwing over webmasters would i start a thread bringing it to public eye how I cheated? No. I started this because I was asking and didn't see a problem. Now I see the problem.

I'm not going to leave this business because I made one fuck up which resulted in me cheating the TGP rules. I'm going to fix it and move on.
