    Timeshares...

Anyone have one? What's your opinions about timeshares.

I am on the fence with going into a timeshare or picking up a new vacation house. Both have their pros and cons I suppose...

I need a push either way.

Just seems like a pain in the ass, too many parties involved.

Same here... got a solid wall up when it comes to timeshare. That concept was abused just too often and has a bad rep.

The principle is fine as long as the people involved are "straight" and genuine - tho it's far harder to find these folks among the swamp of rip off artists.

Was thinking of applying that to a project we are doing, but only as a sideline and with the slight difference that the properties would belong to an untouchable trust which would grant a "time use". Still need to dig into it a lot more tho...
