That's the vicious circle - people think it's not as good as .com and don't use it. I guess the only way to find out is to try.

I have plenty of .infos and plenty of .coms, don't see any difference as far as the SEs are concerned, right now my two best positions on Google are two info domains I have

does not matter whatsoever, age, backlinks, content, etc are what matters. i buy .info's all the time @ godaddy. usually at .99 - 1.99
