Question for Techies... VGA to HDMI
Hi guys,
This is a serious techie question... Does anyone know of a converter to go from standard VGA to a 1920x1080p HDMI connection? Thanks! |
If such an adapter is avalable (i don't know), it would be very expensive! If your TV supports it (digital signal without HDCP), i would replace the graphics card. Then you would be able to connect the TV with a DVI -> HDMI cable digitally.
they exist...but there is no point. it would be cheaper to buy an video card with HDMI/DVI output
i am coming out of a laptop...with only vga out
and i need a way to do vga to hdmi to get full 1920x1080 |
buy a better laptop then... you're going to be paying $300+ for a converter
Why not just use the VGA input on the TV? VGA will do 1080 fine.
i dont mind paying $300 for a converter... i will be using the converter on many laptops that use my 1920x1080 tv/monitor.
the monitor/tv does not have VGA in, that is why I can't do that.

Use a vga to dvi then. Those are only about $3 for a converter. |
where can i get a $3 vga to dvi converter?
THANKS |

you're confused with dvi-a to vga, there is a lot involved with getting an analog signal converted to digital, much more than a $3 thing
Just found a converter: http://www.lektropacks.com/view_item...&&category=126
Will that convert take VGA 1920x1080 out and convert it properly to HDMI?
anyone...anyone?
