Weird PC Problem. Any geeks up right now?
 

i was just chilling on here surfing the net, when my pc rebooted out of nowhere, then when windows came back up, i got a login error, finally i was able to login and my desktop looks as though i just did a fresh install. no icons on desktop, no firefox bookmarks, all my shit is uninstalled, etc.

anyone know what the fuck this might be? any help is mucho appreicated.

if it's xp, try using the restore system

your profile fucked up. try a system restore, if that doesnt work go into the c:\documents and settings\ folder and look for a folder with your username and another folder with your username.something. Ah its gets too complicated to type after that point

format c:

Run "chkdsk /f"
It's a profile problem, likely caused by a hard drive error.

Something is wrong with the user.. The machine is just fine..
