what is this photoshop you speak of? |

Select the logo, create a new layer, fill it black, blur it, reduce the opacity, then offset it. |

is there a tutorial somewhere I can look at? Or maybe better yet, a professor I could speak with?

Amp is back. Looks like redesigning effexor.com paid off well and he bought himself privvies.

I'm new here. I just am trying to procreate information for my family. We have no clothes and thus I am to be giant web master and make much food money. |
Just select the freehand tool, draw a lasso around the part of the logo you want highlighted, then hit the drop shadow effect tool and drop'r in there hoss. :winkwink:
Make sure there's fresh batteries in your cordless mouse. :warning Oh, and take your time lassoing it. One shakey hand tremor and it's game over baby. lol :D |
Should I just go ahead and take credit for killing this thread?
:D |
drop shadows are worthless with out a bevel and embossed lens flare.

Use Fireworks :)

I hire 3rd world villagers to do this work for me.
One day, I hope to be able to afford someone as good as a designer or 2 in this thread. Not that I would do it, as I can still get sales using the villagers. |

You don't.
It's an inside joke among graphic designers to say "You should put a drop shadow on that thing"... |
