mattz, welcome to the wonderful world of "friends of AFF". It didn't do that to me on the way in, but you never know... they love ya :)

They will probably just raise his payouts.

I get the sad feeling that could be true.

fuzebox 05-13-2007 01:43 AM

Err... Why should a sponsor care if their affiliates are spamming blogs?

RawAlex 05-13-2007 06:47 AM

Fuze, spamming blogs, chatrooms, and others using automated tools. Note that the traffic going to these sites goes through IP block 85.255.*.* (you can go look up why that would be an issue) and the link on the bottom of the page (right below the AFF ads) goes directly to a codec installer (owned by the same people).

These are very specifically the hackers and spyware installers that are ripping holes in the adult business right now. AFF would be well advised to stop supporting what is fucking over so many affiliates of all programs, including AFF.

The Walrus 05-13-2007 07:02 AM

That pasty piece of shit Lars nor his pet Sagi will do shit about it. Sad but true.

xclusive 05-13-2007 07:04 AM

AFF is bad for the adult business as long as they support crap like this. You think they don't know where the traffic is coming from? I'm sure a lot of the small time crap does slip through and shit does happen. But when they get big chunks of new traffic you know they look into it and just let it happen.

You ain't kidding. This is the tip of a very big piece of "organized crime" online. They run the whole gambit: Toolbar installs, spyware, codec, newsgroup spamming, comment spamming, chatroom spamming, server hacks, iframe hacks, mega blackhat SEO (black ski masks too)... Almost every scam or spam I have seen in the last few months leads back to this same group.

They are also some of the most nasty TGP traders, with hitbots, fake clicks, and tons and tons of fake TGPs that are just codec install sites.

They also do "click cleaning", which is getting traffic from shit sources, and then forcing it through a cleaning cycle and popping it out onto the highest price PPC pages possible.

I hesitate to use the "M" word, only because on the Sorpranos they said the mafia doesn't exist.

RawAlex 05-13-2007 12:52 PM

bump for Lars... I know he wouldn't be up early on a Sunday.

RawAlex 05-14-2007 03:51 PM

Amazingly, the AFF ads are gone.
