Best way to convert .ISO files to wmv or mpeg?

Hi,

I have some full dvd/movie .ISO files on my computer...
Can any one recommend software that will load the .ISO, then convert it to wmv or mpeg?

Thanks

iso is a pre-packaged image file

best thing to do is grab ISOBuster and unpack them

Jace is right. ISO is not a video format, so you have to extract the video data first. I use Deamon Tools to mount ISO's and read them.

i would use vlc player to read the iso and watch the movie directly

you could burn the dvd and then take it off the dvd.

use magicISO to burn to dvd

as mentioned "vlc" player will play it without having to convert it

That's why my question was tricky...

I want to be able to edit...or render the actual .ISO file.

i think that magiciso could extract the video without burning it.

I found a program called "Handshake"
that does it...

I heard about it on TWIT with Leo LaPorte.

Burn it with some burning software (Nero)
or use Daemon Tools, mount image and just copy files

vcdgear will convert .iso or bin/cue to mpeg

jacked 05-14-2007 11:49 PM

use daemon tools mount the iso and you can watch the movie without having to extract or convert any of the files

Deamon tools are great. As suggested, mount the ISO files and you can grab/convert the videos from the created virtual drive.
