I have a dv9000z series with AMD processor instead and it's DAMN Fast Machine, I use it as my main design pc now, beautiful 1680x1050 resolution.
Just go for it! Don't forget to order it with remote control ...:winkwink:

Yes, AMD runs hotter but costs a few hundred less.

pornguy 05-11-2007 02:19 PM

the one I just designed, but did not buy would have cost me 1900$ with all the good stuff, but not all the programs.

jonesonyou 05-11-2007 02:22 PM

Now I want one.

easy01 05-11-2007 03:51 PM

AMD version doesn't heat up very much, much less than my older laptop using Intel Centrino technology

Oh yeah, that remote control... love it, never knew what I was missing

Couple months back I posted on GFY whether I should get one of those a Macbook Pro.

Majority ruled and convinced me to get a Macbook Pro.

Couldn't be happier.

I have a HP Pavilion ZD8000, and love the 17' wide screen, the only thing I dont like is the fan noise

BucksMania 05-12-2007 02:27 AM

i saw there is option for remote control, but didnt expect its that hot feature?
What you can do with it except playing/stopping music and movies?

I mean when its 17" i suppose you are pretty close when you watch anyway?
Why you need the remote?
