Every once in a while, we at GFY are faced with the realization that bullshit just does not fly here. Lately, though there's been a lot, and I mean a LOT of bullshit that I've personally never seen go unchallenged until lately.

Now, it's worth noting that I haven't been around for several months, and have just recently been reading and posting more recently - so maybe I missed something. In any case, this is my PSA for GFY'ers based on what I remember:

• This is NOT a surfer forum. A classic "Would you hit it" thread is good for the soul - everyone LOVES to look at pretty pics - but come on now - do we really need series after series of photosets like this is a surfer forum?
  
  
• People do notice a lot more than you think. If you're under the impression it's OK to act like a total douche in one thread, and then contradict your position or switch it up at a later date - just know that because you haven't been called out (like in the past) it doesn't mean you got away with it.
  
  
• Fansigns are fun, plain and simple - but please remember that they are NOT for the sole purpose of showing your buddies you're a wannabe porn webmaster. If you request a fansign, it's good form to put it on your sites and linking to the gal who made it. It's a lot of work to make those damn things and the least you can do is send some traffic.
  
  
• Contests are important, and great ways for sponsors to reward affiliates - but if you're not an adult webmaster then you need to GTFO - plain and simple. If you're a sponsor and you're rewarding affiliates who have zero adult associations - it might be worth looking like an asshole to refuse to reward non-industry people.

I have a few more in mind, but this is what's coming to me now. I'll post them as I remember them but please, feel free to post yours as well.

• If you're going to launch a business that's focused on SERVING ADULT WEBMASTERS then act like a fuckin ADULT!!! If someone critisizes you or says something mean - it's not a time to fire up the Bat-Signal and get all bent out of shape. People will hate, it's human nature - let em hate and use your skills to gain respect. The more you post and whine and fight the less people (who have money) give a shit about who you are and what you do.

• We all have crappy domains - it's part of being in a speculative business. Trying to unload them is FINE - trying to unload them on a DAILY basis in the WRONG FORUM is not! People will glaze over your posts not just now but forever by doing this. Part of being on a forum like GFY is being able to have people READ what you WRITE - otherwise what's the point?

Also - does anyone remember when people constantly complained about how "all the threads today are shitty"?

Such as the "Buy and Sell" part. QUIT POSTING YOUR DOMAINS FOR SALE INT HE FUCKING AROUND SECTION

• 95% of the time drama threads are a form of promotion. With this said - your fake drama needs to be entertaining, captivating and open ended with enough room for all of the people who spend a lot of time here to chime in on. It's not easy, but necessary. On the other hand, if it is 100% serious and you're trying to bring something to light - it's proof you need. No two ways about it.

I hope some of you guys have some pointers for some of the ppl here as well...
