Most likely millions, and millions of dollars.

Nothing, icann will prolly never release it to the public...

There was only a few released back when domains first started and they ended up deciding to keep them for somereason..

I know paypal owns x.com, but that is all I know of..

stickyfingerz 05-10-2007 06:49 PM

aa.com American Airlines owns I know.

Your right, I forgot about that one, I am sure there are a couple others...

woj 05-10-2007 07:10 PM

They are both (x and z.com) kinda getting wasted, they should sell them to someone who would put something cool on them...

I guess they where all open at one time, but after a couple got grabbed up they decided to take them off the market..

KrisKross 05-10-2007 08:17 PM

"Such domains are rare, as on December 1, 1993, IANA explicitly reserved all single letter and single digit second-level domain names in the TLDs .com, .net, and .org. This was done in case the registries for these domains became overloaded. Recently, ICANN has considered auctioning off their domains.

However, the few such domains that were already assigned were not recalled; They were grandfathered in and therefore were not affected by the restrictions that have existed since."

Paypal has X.com, Nissan has Z.com and Qwest has Q.com.

dammn ballers

PMdave 05-10-2007 09:13 PM

I believe they can't be transferred. Owners can renew them but once they expoere they are gone forever.

GAMEFINEST 05-10-2007 09:25 PM

i want x.com

there is not much value in something you can't sell... Marketing z.com as "the" place to be for nissan related infowould be more expensive than marketing nissan.com. The accountant is actually doing a great job saving the firm 9 bucks/year.

Boobs 05-10-2007 09:41 PM

money that i wont ever see

x.com (Paypal)
z.com (Nissan)

no need to shoot for the stars when one can use the Pending Delete Domain Watcher at http://IPalert.com and grab dictionary domains, dmoz-listed domains, 2-character/3-character domains, and also watch pending delete domains by keyword.

hit some singles and doubles to start the cycle :thumbsup

nothing saying you couldn't lease out use of the domain. :winkwink:

SomeCreep 05-10-2007 10:16 PM

Would sell for 7 figures, maybe 8.

TTiger 05-10-2007 10:22 PM

x.com is redrecting to paypal

MetaMan 05-10-2007 10:27 PM

X.com was not always paypal. :2 cents:

it is amazing how people cuss out the domain game, the internet is only growing not slowing down, domains are even better then top real estate for that reason.

Fap 05-10-2007 11:30 PM

I always thought L.com's didnt exist.. just LL.com's

kenny 05-10-2007 11:41 PM

i.net (no site is up but it's registered)

x.org

y.com (yahoo has trademarked this but it's still in reserve)

x.com

z.com

q.com

TommyM 05-11-2007 12:16 AM

Damn I would love me one of those :D

Bama 05-11-2007 01:35 AM

When I first got into the game I tried to register -.com
Wouldn't let me :(

dbavaria 05-11-2007 02:08 AM

How did they even get names like that...on the first day of domain names can you just waltz in and ask for F.com?

visotech 05-11-2007 02:08 AM

Do one letter domain names even exist!?

You do know the Nissan Z is a massive part of their marketing right? The Z series is basically the only Nissan I wouldn't have minded seeing in my garage. For a rice rocket the 350Z GT actually looked pretty slick ;)

BucksMania 05-11-2007 03:20 AM

yeah probably millions

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 05-11-2007 03:22 AM

Rule of Thumb:

The number of zeros go up as the number of letters go down... :thumbsup

ADG

soulbleed 05-11-2007 04:51 AM

would sell for infinity + 1

Violetta 05-11-2007 05:26 AM

A one letter domain would be nice to have!
