Wigger, what does it mean and is it racist?
 

I've always thought that it is what racist people said about white kids trying to be or acting "black". Just want to get everyones thoughts on the definition and whether or not it is racist...

That is what I have always heard that it meant. I do not think it is racist. I actually think it is insulting to the black community. How do you act like another race?

I've always thought of it as white folks saying combining the "N" word with white and viewed it racist because of that.

I think you can be any color and be ghetto. I remember seeing kids in Tokyo on the train acting like thuglets and they were Ghetto. .. its about actions not color .. atleast that how I see it.

Yes, it is racist, but basically it is meant to mean.... a white person dressing, talking and acting like a black person. But yeah, I would say its racist.

Discussing race does not make one "racist" or "ignorant". You need to unbunch your "draws".

It means a honky trying to act like a brotha, and no it is not racist.

You also need to understand that there is a difference between some square ass kid from the suburbs that has never interacted with real black people in his life trying his hardest to be a thug, and a white kid who actually grows up in a "ghetto" area with actual black people. The latter is simply a product of their environment and they usually aren't on a mission to "act black," they just speak how everyone has always spoken around them as they grew up. If you are isolated somewhere in middle America and know nothing about urban life, then you probably will never understand...

Yeah, wigger is basically a synonym for white poser of the worst aspects of present day 'black urban/ghetto' culture. Ditto for a black suburban kid who acts like he's from the hood. He's just a poser too (although people - black and white - are less likely to call him on it).

I guess I can see how it can be taken as racist. I just never understood why they think they can act black. How do you act black? I think most people do not like that. The wiggers usually wear the baggy pants that fall off their butt, wear a bunch of fake bling and try and talk getto. All the black friends I have are nothing like that. So I think it is an insult to black people to assume they talk and dress like that.
