Tech E-Mail Question

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out?

Everytime I click on a hyperlink in a e-mail message it automatically opens internet explorer. For example when I do a russian sub.... I click on the hyper link to confirm my submission. Then it opens the internet explorer window then I have to click on the outlook express window to go to my next e-mail confirmation.

The way I had it set up before was that when I clicked on a hyperlink it would open the link in internet exporer behind outlook express and I could just move on to the next e-mail.

I don't know if this makes any sense, but my problem is that it takes 2x as long now to confirm all my submissions. With all the opening and closing of windows.

I am working on a new laptop so that is why the setup for outlook express is different.
Thanks
DH

Internet options -- > advanced --> browsing --> check "reuse windows for shortcuts"

Hi RK, thanks for your response.

That is not the problem actually. I want to be able to click on the hyperlink and still stay in the outlook express window. Everytime I click on the link it takes me to internet explorer window.

Maybe you know how I can fix this?
Thanks
DH

Did you try it?
I just double checked it on this computer and it worked exactly like you want it to.

Change the setting, close IE, close outlook.
Start IE and open any page, start outlook.
Now when you click a link in outlook it will open in the IE window that you opened before and outlook will stay on top.

I did exactly what you said and the intenet explorer window still pops up infront of outlook express... I dunno what to do..

Try:

Tools -> Internet options -> Programs -> Choose Outlook Express for your email instead of Internet Explorer.

Friday.
