Queen makes fun of George Bush
The queen had the last laugh. Dispensing with protocol briefly at the formal dinner she hosted for President Bush, Queen Elizabeth said, "I wonder whether I should start this toast by saying, 'When I was here in 1776.' "
The joke was at the expense of the president ? the same president whose wife said he had to be talked into putting on the most formal dinner a White House can host ? a white-tie affair. Bush took it in stride, though, starting his toast by saying, "Your Majesty, I can't top that one." ( well he got one thing right during his presidency :thumbsup ) Sometimes you start wondering if he acts stupid just to get some attension :1orglaugh :1orglaugh Full article can be read here http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070509/...royal_visit_75 |
I think he's just stupid, plain and simple.

I don't know if the guy is actually "stupid" in the plain sense, more like he's like a burnout airhead that happens to be the President.

I read somewhere that they are actually playing up the goof ups in his speeches as to write in some because he's become known for them. The 1776 thing kinda seemed a bit fake to me in his speech.
