The problem the firefighters are saying is that the wind is blowing decent and the embers are flying miles away potentially causing more house and brush fires.

sicone 05-08-2007 08:17 PM

It's a bad time of year for wild fires

Spunky 05-08-2007 08:19 PM

Looks like it's going to be a long hot summer.

seeric 05-08-2007 08:19 PM

the l.a. zoo is close isn't it?

NaughtyRob 05-08-2007 08:20 PM

Damn that sucks. :-(

Imortyl Pussycat 05-08-2007 08:31 PM

DWB 05-08-2007 08:39 PM

News said they just evacuated the zoo. Damn I used to live over there and still have many friends that do.

CyberAgeGary 05-08-2007 08:56 PM

Ya, I am looking outside of my living room window and see a clear view of the entire mountain.. It looks cool at night, but it really sucks that the place is on fire.... Hopefully it will be out soon....

yeah! do a cd and i won't have to show my tits again. Hal had the best remix of sexyback on his cd for xbiz in hollywood, i still have to hit him up for a copy of that.

The Adult Broker 05-08-2007 09:44 PM

I was driving east on sunset blvd around 2pm today and this one stack of billowing smoke could be seen. It hadn't spread yet, just looming about 3 miles ahead.

I immediately turned on 1070 am radio and yep, just like I thought, another fire.:Oh crap

I just hope all will be ok.

D 05-08-2007 09:46 PM

This blows... I know peeps that live up there. :-/

Brooklywood 05-08-2007 10:05 PM

You could see the huge smoke cloud and even some of the flames from XBIZ HQ. I was kinda pissed because it was obscuring my view of the Hollywood sign.

People are being evacuated out of their homes. LA Times said a kid started it with matches. Doesn't help that its been one of the driest winters ever.

that would be dope :pimp

Moe 05-08-2007 10:27 PM

We were watching it from our window all day today, from our view it looks like its getting pretty damn close to the Observatory :(

Semi-Retired-Dave 05-08-2007 10:32 PM

I thought they had this thing under control, its crazy.

D 05-08-2007 11:07 PM

Spread to 600 acres. So far no injuries reported (except for the guy that they think started the thing when he fell asleep and his cigarette caught his shirt on fire)... no houses lost, though several are in danger.

I can hear the helicopters overhead... doubt it'll lighten up tonight. :-/

Hopefully, more water helicopters than news ones.

WWC 05-08-2007 11:31 PM

Yah, it sucks....i hike exactly on those hills.... :-(
