well, some companies do run like normal companies do. if people can't get to work on time, then they can't finish projects on time and i have no interest in them. i don't see anything funny about expecting someone to the office at the time they agree to be there.

:2 cents:

non punctual, unserious people move along please. we are serious about our future. there are certainly developers out there that take their careers seriously. thats the type of person i am looking for and willing to pay.

seeric 05-08-2007 02:08 PM

bumpppppppppppppppppppp

seeric 05-08-2007 02:28 PM

i think i may have to hire from mainstream again and just train another monster employee. my video guy is killing it and he came from mainstream.

Masterchief 05-08-2007 02:51 PM

go for it. all of us...well most of us in the adult biz are spoiled and lazy. not being able to work from the comfort of my hammock in my backyard would be a major setback for me no matter how much the job paid

madawgz 05-08-2007 02:52 PM

bump for someone to get the job :thumbsup

Bake 05-08-2007 03:50 PM

This one made me laugh
-Able to complete projects in a timely planned manner.

seeric 05-08-2007 03:57 PM

unbelievable.

move along please. serious candidates only.

i dont see what you guys think is so funny about someone finishing tasks on a projected date or schedule. fuck this industry jades people.

TMM_John 05-08-2007 04:13 PM

Airek,

We have done all of our hiring outside of the adult industry and it has proven to be a very good practice for us.

It is a lot easier to teach someone the adult industry than it is to weed through the hobbyists that flood the boards.

i am pretty sure i am gonna do this for the other 2 positions that i have open too. they would come with no bad habits, no enemies, and no clue except what i want them to know. that is until the business taints them :1orglaugh

i dont have anything against anyone who wants to hobby around, but some of us treat this just like any other business. i am here at the office at 8am(sometimes earlier) and stay till after 5, then go home and do light work. the thought that someone cant get to work at 9am if thats what the position wants makes me laugh.

anyway, like i said, more power to those that wanna sit in the lawnchair, but i'll take my department serious and have a dedicated staff with passion that will reward them for everything they do.

:2 cents:

The replies here have only been as serious as your original post. Being a programmer myself, here's my honest take on your post:

From your post i get the feeling that you're a pompous work-a-holic, and being that you're not a coder you simply wouldn't understand the unforseen delays, bugs, issues and etc that come up when it comes to developing software.

You're asking for a whole lot there in your post, but you're not offering much. What about vacation, 401k, medical, dental. It's unfortunate, but having an adult company on your resume hurts in the long run in Christian america so your company has to offer something over the thousands of other mainstream companies out there hiring.

You're looking for someone with 3-5 years adult experience, for most of us that has been in the business taking an 9-5 job without benefits and any sort of long term prospects would be a huge step backwards.

dynastoned 05-09-2007 10:36 AM

beemk 05-09-2007 10:48 AM

hire someone off craigslist or something similiar, and just have them do their work, dont bring them to shows and dont show them gfy.

tranza 05-09-2007 10:53 AM

You guys require AJAX, huh?

I should start learning this new language, it seems that more and more sites are using it nowadays...

Masterchief 05-09-2007 11:52 AM

ajax isn't really a language, its a development technique rather. it's not necessarily new either, Microsoft introduced it in exchange back in 99/2000. it's something that's been used for many many years, but once the "ajax" term was coined everyone jumped on the bandwagon and had to "ajaxize" their sites just because it's the cool trendy thing to do.

seeric 05-14-2007 08:59 AM

bump
for the new blood developers.

royaljelly2 05-14-2007 09:07 AM
