Don Mattingly was an awesome player.. good to see him still in pinstripes

Him hitting 10 HRs in 8 straight games was always my favorite DM highlight.

I was at the game in Arlington Stadium when he hit the tater in the eighth straight game.

Just imagine what kind of career Mattingly would've had if it wasn't cut short by back problems. I fucking hate the Yankees but always loved Mattingly.

:thumbsup :thumbsup I went to the Don Mattingly retirement game, he was a great player. They gave him a huge ceremony, tons of gifts(2 new cars, big screen tvs, couldn't even remember the rest) and if I remember right he threw the first pitch.

I think he'll be in pinstripes for years to come.

What a great player purchase that was. Doesn't play, and can't trade him as nobody will take him for that salary.

I'm a big Mattingly fas as well. ONe of the best Yankees to play.

Donny was and is the man. supposed to be taking over for Joe when he retires
