CCBill bouncing checks? Or is Chase full of shit?

Just tried to deposit a CCBill check and they told me there would be a 10 day hold on it because "a lot of checks from this company come back bad"

Got a feeling that's code for we no longer want anything to do with adult.:disgust

I deposited two CCBill checks on the 27th of April and they cleared the same day, as they've always done in the past. Pisses me off I've been with them for almost 10yrs. If they give me the same shit next week I'll be looking for another bank.

Yeah I know. Must be a new policy for them. I told the guy I deposit their checks every week and there's never been a problem. He just kind of gave me a blank stare. Just a teller though, if it happens next week I'll ask for the manager and see if I can get any honesty out of him.

i hope i won;t get any problem wwith ccbill checks in the near future. hehe the tellers that ive always deposit my checks doesn;t know what im doing why i keep on getting checks. still have 4 ccbill check to deposit and it clears 10-15 days max. i don;t usually withdraw money from that account but i hope all is well with the checks.

Spoke with corvette and Sean at CCBill. Said it's likely an issue Chase has, if it happen again to just call them while at the bank so they can speak with the bank reps.

I have Chase and I was much happier when it was Bank One. Oh how I long for the days of customer service.

miss_twisted 05-07-2007 04:19 PM

Chase has had it out for the adult industry for yrs. there was a few instances a yr or so ago of them calling card holders fter they made and adult purchase to see if they wanted to chargeback... not to verify if it was a legit transaction but to ask them if they wanted to charge back or they were going to cancel their card!

tony286 05-07-2007 04:27 PM

never had a problem very check cleared :)

Brad Mitchell 05-07-2007 04:29 PM

You would be more likely to see a refund check bounce from the IRS than CCBill.

been cashing ccbill checks for years and not one has ever bounced, so chase is just feeding you BS.

Screaming 05-07-2007 05:40 PM

I've had this with Chase, they just started doing it a month ago. They try and brush it off like its not them but its never happened before and no one else using other banks has the same complaint. I know a few people at the local Chase and one of them can clear it for me fine in a 4 days, just moved though and they're now 20 mins away.

.....time for a new bank methinks.

The Bank hold all my U.S checks for 15 days, I never worry to much about it.
many are from CCBill they have never let me down check wise.

V_RocKs 05-08-2007 04:10 AM

Wells Fargo is now doing this with select customers and RKNetMedia...

I changed to wires but got it fixed before I made the switch...

I basically told them I would be leaving if I keep having this problem and that since I am elite at GFY (the hat I wore to the bank) I would be suggesting that others also leave them since their checks will start getting denied too.

Manager asked me how popular is that "blog," I said it gets about 1/2 of what foxnews gets and it only caters to adult webmasters so it is a pretty tight bunch.... He winced... made some keystrokes and my next two checks went fine before I switched...

Jensen 05-08-2007 05:07 AM

wouldn't it be a lot easier just to pay the small wire fee? gotta cost you guys more to go to a bank in person and wait for the checks to clear?
