Is there a program that will check Backups?

As in...i have a bunch of stuff to move to an external HD.

But i have noticed that some folders are missing when i copy stuff over.

So im wondering is there something that will automatically check for that?

maybe you input everything you want copied to the other HD and it does it for you instead of drag and drop?

a quick way is to see what total size of the moved folder vs original one is. Wont tell you whats missing, but you'll know if something is amiss. :winkwink:

Veritas does... and so do Amanda and Arkeia.

These are probably backup apps out of your initial scope... but if you deal with lots of content this is the way to go.

hmm yeah..might be

i found a better solution...i will just put the content right onto the external HD...and skip putting it on my computer first:)
