The Kentucky Derby!!! Get Rich In This Thread!!! $$$$$ My Tips For The Big Race..
#2 Curlin - The HEAVY PICKED Favorite
Curlin will not finish within the top 10. He's got every attribute that goes above and beyond the other horses to outclass the field but he's a fucking 3 year old with little experience. He's not going to run a 1 1/4 mile with 19 other significant thoroughbreds when he's had three or four career starts. I'm either going to be dead right about this one or dead wrong. But I'm more than willing to tell you that inexperience will kill this horse. Keep this in mind as well: no horse with four or fewer career starts has won the derby since 1918. Twenty nine horse (including some GREAT ones) have tried and failed. #7 Street Sense This may very well be the horse to beat. He's picked to go 2nd (behind Curlin) by just about every major handicapper. I'm just not sure how he's going to do well on dirt at Churchill. If he got the proper training time on the dirt this past week, watch for this horse to explode. He's got the fastest speed over any horse in his most recent past performances at an astounding 108. #8 Hard Spun Top three finisher for sure as long as he doesn't get tired in this long of a race. #11 Bwana Bull This horse is going off dead last at 50-1, but I think he may surprise some people. #14 Scat Daddy Don't be surprised if he wins this race. He's been running with bar shoes and won't be for this race. He's a quiet underdog that will sneak in the top 5. Other Top 4 Finishers #12 Nobiz Like Shobiz #18 Any Given Saturday #10 Teuflesberg - My Personal Favorite For The Day (going off at 50-1 so most don't agree) I'm going broke today, how bout you??? :2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents: |

Also, use Cowtown Cat and Liquidity for the exotics. I'm getting ready to go get my bets down. |
I used to go to the races a lot but the last few years I haven't been.
I still like Curlin. Even though he's big, they got post position #2 so that makes for less ground to cover, so to speak. He's awfully young and this is a long race, that goes against him. But he won the Arkansas Derby in April with 10 and a half lengths. I think that was a record. And I understand he won his first race this Feb. by more than that. But Street Sense looks really really good. Looks like I would be a coward and buy place tickets. At current odds, it still would pay something. |
Curlin went to 6/1 just now.

What a great race.
I'm not typically into horses (happened to be eating lunch at a place with it on the tube), but from 17th to first... was an amazing run for Street Sense. |
