why is it so complicated to install wordpress?
 

so I decided to make a blog out of my first domain, instead of a tgp/mgp........... but damn it, why is it so friggin' complicated to install WordPress??

any ideas??

wordpress is probably the easiest script to install, upload and go to the site.

hell most control panels offer it as a one click install

wow, it is so simple compared to other scripts etc. What are you having problems with? All you really have to do is edit the wp-config file with your sql database info. Upload it, chmod some files so you can easily make changes to them etc.

jace can do you wordpress install for 75$ i heard he is making a promo.. you'll get pretty much what he is using and i think that would help your site a lot.:)

Well, it's his 1st domain, so it can be a little complicated for someone with bugger all experience.

It's very simple to install. Here's directions...
1. Read the ReadMe.txt and Install.txt files.
2. Follow directions.

DONE!

Seems pretty easy. I just stuck one up on a site of the wifes.
Gotta get it showing in spanish now, so gonna go do some reading..

dont worry man, stick with it, once u get the first one done, they get easier and easier.

I dont think Its ever taken me more than 5 minutes to do a full install and have it running to be honest.

first time i installed it, it too me under 10 min
now it takes me around a min..not to sure why its complicated, read the readme and you will be all set

you didn't give one error or clue as to what you issue was. Wordpress give VERY exact directions as to what you are doing wrong, but you posted nothing...how exactly did you expect anyone to help you?
