Obama has no negatives I can think of.

I think he will win easily. His record is impecible and he relates well to everyone including republicans. I think most republicans have been disgraced by Bush. Would be a great thing for the USA:thumbsup

DateDoc 05-04-2007 04:33 PM

lack of experience comes to mind......

stickyfingerz 05-04-2007 04:34 PM

You heard it here first He WONT get the nomination..

notabook 05-04-2007 04:40 PM

Well he has several major negatives, the biggest being that he isn't Bill Richardson.

totally agree, if you cant beat Bush after his first, you wont win now. Esp after the only thing congress has been able to do is raise taxes of people who make 30k a year by 200 to 400 a month in the next (i think) 5 years. And cut the earned income. :2 cents:

The republican choices aren't that great either this time around.

There are a couple of things: lack of experience, he is comparatively young, and... oh yeah... wait forit... He's black, and way too many stupid crackers won't vote for a black guy.

He very honestly would make a great VP on the Hillary ticket, that would be a sure fire sell, and he could get some time in power to hone his craft and mature in people's eyes.

kirupai 05-04-2007 07:17 PM

He is black?

Hopefully Fred Thompson gets the republican nomination. :2 cents:

it is sad that most of the US cant count past 2......http://lp.org

Cyndalie 05-04-2007 07:32 PM

He speaks well but experience is telling. That a number of other obstacles in his way. Clinton will have her way, and lose, and next up is Biden who has his own bag of balloons. It comes down to having a plan over appeasement.

BT 05-04-2007 07:33 PM

you guys are way to cynical... clinton has no chance,. Obama will win and I say this as a voting republican. Bush really screwed up to the point that most repub's will vote outside party lines:2 cents:

GregE 05-04-2007 08:02 PM

He came off sounding like a mirror image of Al Sharpton during the whole Imus debacle.

I was hoping for more from him.... much, much more :(

Better than they have had in a LONG time. And will be particularly good if Fred Thompson and Chuck Hagel get in the race.

Guiliani is ahead of McCain but there's a lot of campaign left.

yes, but most republicans voting outside of party lines aren't like to go as far as to vote for a black man. That would be like asking Al Sharpton not to get shrill or Carl Rove to tell the truth. It ain't gonna happen.

republicans can remember getting rich under President Clinton, and they might actually be able to accept Hillary.

Clinton-Obama would be a very strong ticket, potentially bringing the first clear presidential victory in the last 10 years.

JP513 05-04-2007 08:07 PM

Anyway, I don't think it will be easy for him to be Clinton, but he definitely has a chance and I hope he beats her. Hillary would lose to just about ANY Republican. I like Obama. I'll probably support him. Let's see.

stickyfingerz 05-04-2007 08:15 PM

So if it comes down to

Republican candidate Fred Thompson

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton

Does anyone really see her winning?

I would predict her making Mondale's loss look like a close race. :2 cents:

Can I have some of those meds you are on?

Myst 05-04-2007 09:00 PM

Democrats cant pick a leader

If Obama wins, he is not becoming president
Americans are not ready for a black president, and choosing Obama as your candidate is basically handing over presidency to the Republicans for another 4 years on a silver platter

No doubt. If you put them both on a ticket, there is no question that they would win. :2 cents:

A lady and a black man. Thats 2 minorities that count for a lot.

I'd vote for them :thumbsup

It would be as effective as your one day gas boycott.
