Selling Domain Portfolio For Client

I am brokering the sale of a domain portfolio for a client.
the portfolio contains over 7700 domains mostly .com and .net. these are mainstream domains NON ADULT

7700 domains and ½ are still registered for at least one year some are registered for multiple years

Over 1k in yahoo and about the same in dmoz.
sites have traffic and page rank he makes roughly 5000 a month with the domains just parked

TLDs included are .com , .net , .us , .biz , .info the majority are .com and .net

I sold 2 domains of his yesterday for 2500 dollars. :thumbsup

Pinellasproperty.com and runescape.us.

he also has his own parking program and snap program which are included

asking price $150k USD

they make 5k per month = 60k per year - cost of renewing 7700 domains = ~40k/year = profit of 20k per year.

So I would break even after 7 and a half year?

Or do I missunderstand something here?!

BTW, how come it's always someone selling for someone else in these type of threads?! Why is it almost never the owner of something that makes a post on GFY? It's always a friend, a client, someone without a GFY account etc etc.

if you did nothing else with them,.. about right.. it you monitized them better and optimized the parking the would convert alot better IMHO

he dosen't post on gfy or anywhere else.. guy never had.. he got me my 1st job with adameve and put me to work for a long time.. so now that he has a desk job.. he wants to part with the portfolio

you'd think the guy would rather work on the domains and live off that than a "desk job" unless they aren't that great.

i guess you would have to judge for yourself .. so fdar i have turned down several offers to part out the domains.. all going as one.. his desk job is something he enjoys great pay beni's and retirement...:thumbsup

me too so hard to find good names imo

If you didn't renew the parked names that didn't at least pay for themselves, you might eliminate a large portion of those 7700 renewal fees.
