Afffiliates - Free content - What do you look for?

Affiliates, when you get free content from a program, what do you look for?

For example, we provide 60 second video clips so that they can be cut down to the size the affiliate needs (10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds).

Do you prefer the longer clips or having them already cut down to those lengths?

Those are specific tools...I'm talking about free content itself :)

60 second clips are good. I hate the 10 second ones that some sponsors have.

Yeah, I'm hoping most affiliates aren't just sticking up 60 second clips, rather, taking the 60 second clips and cutting them to the 10-15 second range. We just wanted to give affiliates that flexibility.

i look for quality videos, not those dumb vids from the 80's that a lot of sponsors have

Have you checked out what we offer for affiliates at Adult Paymaster?

VIDEO CONTENT - 60 sec clips are ok. Some sites are requiring 20 sec clips. So it shouldn't be any less than that. If you're going to downsize the videos, you should offer high quality screenshots from the original video files. Trying to get a good screencap from a low quality sample can be tough.

PIC CONTENT - No screencaps. Only digital still pictures. Any pic set less than 30 images, and I'll pass. Every gallery and freesite that uses it will have the same photos. 60-100 pics is good. The short side + the long side should = at least 1200px (600x400 is too small).

I like it when sponsors list the star's name next to the content. I can't always recognize every new chick that comes along.

In regards to webmaster tools, I'd like to see individual links to each episode. And if you have a star that's been in multiple episodes on various sites in your network, I'd love to see a link to that particular star.

Most important is quality. Pixelated videos, unfocused camera work, underexposed pics, blurry photos are worthless.

VIDEO - Yeah, with 60 second clips, it just gives everyone flexibility and I agree with making sure it's higher quality (the resolution can always been changed by the affiliate when they are cutting it down if they want to minimize the amount of bandwidth it burns).

PICS - Some niches, there just isn't enough content (or licenseable content) available for promotional content. High quality screen caps aren't always the best alternative, but can work in some instances. Agreed that the images provided need to be bigger so the affiliate can decide who much they want to shrink down the image.

Thanks for the feedback and feel free to hit me up any time if you need specific content for a given site/niche. Well, that is if you're an Adult Paymaster affiliate :) If not, then, um, become one and let's see what we can do for each other.

I reason I listed "no screencaps" and "both sides add up to 1200px minimum", is that these are the basic rules set up by linklists. A lot of linklists don't accept screencaps. And many of them have increased their minimum pic size from 1000px to 1200px. I've also noticed a few gallery sites reject any pages with pics less than 50kb or 500px on one side. So screencaps and small pics really limit your affiliates.

Agreed on the screencaps. That's why they should never be the only offerings. This is why I want to give affiliates the best quality available and they can scale it down to their needs.

At LEAST 60 second clips and screencaps already made

For anyone looking for software to take our existing content and optimize it for their needs I'd recomend:

For chopping up videos:
http://www.videocharge.com - we use it here in the office and it works well.
the screencaps can be dicey, so for good clear screenshots, I'd recomend:
http://www.frame-shots.com/

For batch picture resizing:
http://www.irfanview.com - good software and it's free

A good thumbnail program (that can also be used for watermarking images):
Thumbnailer from http://www.smalleranimals.com/

There are some other great programs out there, but here are a couple basic, affordable programs that will help you take our existing promotional content and optimize it for your specific needs.
