Student Banned For Making "Counter Strike" Mod Of School

I had just bought the full Half Life 2 suite of games and was gonna mod like crazy when I see this story in the news. The kid made a mod of Counter Strike of his school. He was visited by the police who made him erase his own creation from his own computer??? WTF is that shit?

Modding a game is intense, painstaking work and they made the kid erase it????

They then transferred him to another school.

I had the same idea back when I was in junior high... i desperately wanted to make a doom level of my school.... I had no hidden agendas, just thought it'd be cool....

I think the police making him erase it is bullshit, but on the other hand, it seems that everyone has to be carefull!

I would have made several backup copies both online and on hard copy hidden away.

That would sooo piss me off after all that work. Modding is tough work. The kid should have been given a college scholarship for creative endeavors instead of given a brain level beat down.
