This whole webmaster thing -- it's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't be discouraged.

WTF you registered one year ago and already have 8,987 posts. Spend the time working instead of posting 20+ times per day.

How much did you earn and what was your goal?

$5 submissions 05-01-2007 06:03 PM

If you wanna try mainstream, hit me up. I've got quite a few things you can try. But like what the guys said above.... online biz is a marathon not a sprint. Also, today's lows will be evened out by tommorow's highs. A little self-confidence, patience, and CONSTANT EFFORT goes a long way, man.

Best of luck to ya.

sicone 05-01-2007 06:04 PM

Most of April sucked for me too... but it ended on a good not and got some decent sales today.

Some days are better the others and some just plain suck ass. Gotta roll with the flow.

StarkReality 05-01-2007 06:10 PM

April wasn't really my best month, too, just keep working hard and it will be rewarded !

I have been hearing from a lot of people that sales have sucked this month (that includes for me too)...but what goes down must go up, so hang in there for a bit longer!:)

MN's post is diamond... print it out / write it down and tape it to your monitor.

-- On a side note; I love seeing '01 members with a few posts write something out of the blue to give advice to the newbs.... love it. Solid inspiration there.

No need to ask, Kababayan. I help fellow webmasters gladly. Catch me on ICQ or email me.

Best Regards,
Gene

I might be a bad example as I did quit adult. However, take this into account. I mesure my revenue in time spent. If I make more money putting my hours elswhere I do so. One thing is for sure posting at gfy does not pay well .

hey contact me when you can, I want to know more about this, my icq # is 10347906

pocketkangaroo 05-01-2007 08:41 PM

Not sure what to say. If you enjoy it, I'd say stick to it. Someone mentioned that posting less and working more might help. Just keep kicking out content/pages/etc. Build more sites faster. Limit yourself to 15 minutes a day on the board and you'll literally see a huge change.

But if you do quit, good luck in whatever you go into. You're young, so it's not bad to explore opportunities. If you do get out, and want to sell your sites, hit me up.

tehHinjew 05-01-2007 08:44 PM

there is no money in quitting porn
btw, scotty i need to talk to you about trading links with a new site i just put out

lazycash 05-01-2007 08:46 PM

Don't quit, stick with it and continue to learn. It doesn't sound like you have a lot of pressing financial responsibilities so use this time of your life to learn and try new things. Even if you have to work more hours offline, keep your online things going and try to add new things when you have the free time. You've already accomplished more in the short time you've tried adult than many in here ever have after years trying.

OG LennyT 05-01-2007 08:49 PM

When in doubt, spam like an incontinent monkey at an all you can eat salsa and bean buffet.

master_design 05-02-2007 12:22 AM

For sure you'll gain nothing if you quit, but if you have a better alternative in adult bizz its worth a try...:thumbsup

scottybuzz 05-02-2007 02:52 AM

First of all I would like to say thanks to the replies. It wasnt as if sales were seriously low, they were just lower than marches and when the exchange rate from $ -£'s kicks in, it really does make what i earn pathetic in reality :( . Add it to the fact that adult industry is one of the lowest respected industries in the world, it doesnt play too well.

For example a low point of the month, I got a cheque for $1094 from ccbill last week, I put it in the bank expecting good things, turns out the cheque balanced out at £530, im sorry but that is a complete utter joke.

I dont enjoy, i hate sitting at my pc day after day, I spent the whole of march making pages with content and not one has been listed on the search eginnes yet, no one. I have tried so many ways, i have tweaked things. On top of that all my serps are dropping and its just dam right depressing.

I will try what you talked to me about on icq, plus some over things, but if it does not work. Im going to let my websites run on autopilot and hang up the old boots.
