Any guesses on what "Poker.com" will sell for at the Moniker Gambling domain auction:

IllTestYourGirls 05-01-2007 02:44 PM

ya poker.com just became carbonpoker.com I was wondering what was happening. prob around $50 mill?

pornguy 05-01-2007 02:50 PM

25 to 30 mill

triumph 05-01-2007 02:51 PM

anywhere from 10 million +++++++

if it was not for the US ban, it would fetch a hefty amount, but still the domain is priceless.

WiredGuy 05-01-2007 03:04 PM

$10MM+ would be my guess.
WG

Big_D 05-01-2007 03:06 PM

wow, CASH MONEY WERD

XPays 05-01-2007 03:09 PM

my guess is that the reserve will not be met

mn 05-01-2007 03:11 PM

2-3 years ago I would say $25,000,000+

Today $5,000,000 up to $10,000,000. Not more.

If you start a new pokersite you can just reg somethingpoker.com and spend all the millions on advertising instead. Much better ROI.

I second that motion...

however I think it will go for $15M+

beemk 05-01-2007 03:20 PM

millions

Well Dunn 05-01-2007 03:25 PM

there is no ban on poker yet, sheesh ... adult webmasters should realy keep up to date about somethin so closely related...what do you think they will attack next if they are succesful in getting internet gaming blocked..

anyway I could see party gaming (partypoker) buying this up, even though they lost alot of market cap they still have tons of play money from being public, and this could be a pretty strategic move. They already have good brand equity..if they ever plan on entering the us market again this would be the domain to make a comeback with...

Theyve got the money but where is the incentive? All their products are "Party" branded....

I cant see them switching from PartyPoker.com to Poker.com - I guess they could use it for traffic and to stop a competitor getting it.

Fap 05-01-2007 04:44 PM

True, but it's a brand of it's own...get's you one step ahead of all competitors, because it's THE poker site, not just ONE poker site.

GAMEFINEST 05-01-2007 06:53 PM

EBORG9 05-01-2007 06:59 PM

Internet gambling in the US will have to be allowed someday. There is too much potential tax revenue for it to not happen.

I shot some test video for their website recently of their hostess Tina, she's really hot, a fairly well known aussie model. She's in some really crap video on the front of the site now, but it seems none of the other links are working. Not sure when they are officially launching it ... I guess really soon with the media frenzy starting :1orglaugh

Miguel T 05-01-2007 10:32 PM
