godaddy good or bad?
 

i keep reading to stay away from godaddy for one reason or another,anyone have any thoughts on this subject

why do you say that? just wonderin cause i got domains parked there. maybe i should scoot out before i have too many domains with them.

i've never had any problems with them. been with them for years.

GoDaddy is an anus. I haven't yet, but when I buy new domains i'm going to try namecheap. $2 private reg vs godaddy's $6 or whatever makes a huge difference.

They are much better than they were a few years ago. I keep all of my new mainstream regs there now.

I stopped using them from 2002-2005 cause their backend sucked balls.

The thing that sucks about Namecheap is when private registration runs out. You have to buy more time on them.

Well I used to use godaddy.... but recently there was a post about godaddy taking out someone domain without owner authorization.... hence I am moving to namecheap...

one day you find your domain on someone else's account, godaddy support answer for your question "wtf": you not renew domain.
what? i have cc checkout, domain was renew few month ago, wtf?

and how your domain was transfered to domain broker? why?

i like the fact that they renew domain names automatically...

why would that be any more safe that Go Daddy? I've had adult domains with Go Daddy for 7 years now and never had the slightest problem:2 cents:

And those who are going to be burned... (you if you use them and haven't been burned already)...

Steer WELL clear, Godaddy suck!

godaddy's problems are with there service... if you use any of godaddy's extra services, hosting, parking, email, forwarding, ... and you get accused of spamming they'll shut down all of you domains that have there DNS on it and charge you something like 190-240$ to re-activate them.

as long as you don't use anything godaddy related other than domain registering then you're ok.
